On Thursday, September 25, 2025, the IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) held an informational training session for students in the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences on the “TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2209-A/B University Student’s Research Projects Support Programs.”

“NEW HORIZONS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY: RESEARCH, EXPERIENCE, AND COLLABORATION”

On Thursday, September 25, Istanbul Kültür University Technology Transfer Office organized a webinar titled “New Horizons in Biotechnology: Research, Experience, and Collaboration”. The event brought together researchers and academics from various European universities, who shared valuable insights into the transformative role of biotechnology across health, agriculture, environment, and industry.

THE GIANTS OF E-COMMERCE AND E-EXPORT MET AT IKU!

In collaboration with the Technological Transformation Education Foundation (TEKDEV), Istanbul Kültür University hosted an event titled “The Giants of E-Commerce and E-Export Are Coming Together” on Thursday, September 18, at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center.

Representatives from Amazon, Trendyol, Idefix, Pazarama, n11, Zergo, PttAvm, and Entegra Bilişim participated in the event, where they shared insights on the latest developments, new dynamics, and future projections in the fields of e-commerce and e-export.

PATENT SUCCESS FROM OUR UNIVERSITY

Prof. Dr. Turgut Uzel, a faculty member of the Department of Civil Engineering at our Faculty of Engineering, has been granted a patent for his work titled “A Method for Calculating Plate Movements in Regions Surrounded by Faults” with application number 2023/001154.

This method, which will contribute to more accurate calculations of plate movements in earthquake-prone regions, is considered a significant innovation in the field of engineering.

EUROPEAN UNION SUPPORT FOR THE “ASTRO-EDU" PROJECT

The “ASTRO-EDU” project, developed under the leadership of our university by Prof. Dr. Dursun Koçer and Assist. Prof. Ayşegül Fulya Yelkenci from the Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Physics, has been awarded funding by the European Union within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH call. The project aims to develop innovative methods in astronomy education, strengthen teachers’ digital competencies, and contribute to public science through international collaborations.

COLLABORATION MEETING BETWEEN IBB SPORTS, DARÜLACEZE, AND IKU-HAM

A significant collaboration meeting was held on Tuesday, August 12, under the coordination of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU), with the participation of representatives from the IKU Motion Analysis Evaluation, Implementation, and Research Center (IKU-HAM), Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club (IBB Sports), and the Darülaceze Presidency.
