In the process of global competition, the socio-economic development and growth of countries are measured not only by their physical resources, but also by their ability to produce technology-based, high value-added and qualified products/services, to use them effectively, and to export the technologies they produce. The diffusion of knowledge, technology or innovative ideas from developed countries to others or from establishments to establishments occurs through technology transfer.

An event titled "Patent and Commercialization Awareness Training" was organized by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Technology Transfer Office on Thursday, July 20.  The training event, whose opening speech was made by IKU Acting Rector Prof.  Dr.  Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, was attended by Erdem Kaya Patent Firm Commercialization Manager Nur Yağcı Alan and Digitalpark Teknokent Digital TTO Manager Ahmet Rıza Balım.  The training, in which patent and commercialization processes were discussed in depth, was received highly the attendees.

The second focus group meeting of the "Browse Your Education" project was held on Wednesday, May 31, in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Technology Transfer Office, Kalben Association and CORBIZ. Assoc. Prof. Nurhan Yel, from the Department of New Media and Communication, and Seda Genç and Nilsu Öz from CORBIZ attended the event as speakers. In the meeting, the details of the project were conveyed in detail.
