COLLABORATION MEETING BETWEEN IBB SPORTS, DARÜLACEZE, AND IKU-HAM

A significant collaboration meeting was held on Tuesday, August 12, under the coordination of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU), with the participation of representatives from the IKU Motion Analysis Evaluation, Implementation, and Research Center (IKU-HAM), Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club (IBB Sports), and the Darülaceze Presidency.

During the meeting, potential joint projects that could be developed in the fields of sports sciences, health technologies, and movement analysis were discussed, along with opportunities for academic support and social responsibility activities. Special emphasis was placed on exchanging ideas on the effective use of movement analysis in tracking athletes' performance, the physical rehabilitation processes of individuals with disabilities, and elderly care services.

Prof. Dr. Nazif Ekin Akalan, Director of IKU-HAM, provided information to the participants about the center’s infrastructure capabilities, research projects, and sectoral collaborations. Representatives from IBB Sports and Darülaceze shared their institutions’ current activities, and concrete steps were evaluated in line with common goals.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached a consensus on determining a roadmap to strengthen collaboration and initiating work on joint project applications.

Istanbul Kültür University will continue to contribute to projects that prioritize both academic and social benefits through such collaborations with its stakeholders.
